  • The frequency of therapy depends on the client and their presenting reason that brings them to therapy. When you meet with your counselor for your initial intake session, you will discuss this. Most people prefer to meet with their therapist once a week initially to get traction going, and will make a plan with their therapist as they see symptomatic relief. Bi-weekly and monthly appointments are available as clients progress through counseling.

  • For the initial intake session at Burleson Counseling, your therapist will go over your intake paperwork, informed consent, and roles of the therapeutic relationship. We will then move into what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve during your time with us.
